The purpose of The Howard & Elizabeth Brinton Endowment Fund Award is for an individual who is an active member of a local UMC showing excellence in mission support of the Advance for Christ and His Church. Nominations should be submitted to Rev. Andrew Burd-Harris (aburd-harris@susumc.org) by way of a letter of recommendation from the individual’s pastor.

It is given in memory of the Brinton’s, missionaries in Congo and mission interpreters with the General Board of Global Ministries. Howard established and served as executive director for The Advance.

The recipient receives a monetary award that is to be designated to an Advance Mission project of the recipient’s choice.
